


Building Your Decorating Business 8-Week Class (Starts Aug 21)
Have you started planning for your event decorating business? Are you ready to get out there and start booking clients that will actually pay you? Join my 8-week session so I can help you officially launch your business.
Here’s what you can expect to learn in this class:
How To Market To Clients: It's very important to be intentional when it comes to marketing. You need to know who to market to, when's the best time to market your decorations, and the best marketing tools to reach your target clients. We’ll cover creating a website, creating social media posts, and getting leads.
How To Handle Client Inquiries: A lot of new event decorators panic or freeze when clients reach out to them for the first time. They don’t know what to say or how to address clients. In this class, I’ll walk you through different scenarios to get you prepared to handle clients when they ask you for pricing and quotes.
How To Create Quotes & Pricing: I will guide you on how to charge clients and how to create quotes. I will walk you through my quoting process and provide specific pricing examples. I will also give you recommendations on packages to offer your clients.
How To Design Your Events: Some clients need help with creating the vision for their event. They will look to you for your expertise and recommendations. I want to get you prepared for this. I’ll provide an overview of Canva (a design tool) so you can learn how to create templates, floor plans, and mockups.
AS A BONUS, THIS CLASS ALSO INCLUDES A LIVE BALLOON BACKDROP DECORATING SESSION. YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN AND PRACTICE ALONG WITH ME!
You’ll have to the opportunity to meet with me personally so I can review your website, your social media, and discuss client scenarios.
At the end of the class, you will have the opportunity to receive a certificate of completion. If a certificate is desired, please come prepared to complete homework on a weekly basis.
When are the classes held? The weekly calls will be held via Zoom on Thursdays at 7pm EST. Class starts on Aug 21st.
Who should take this class? Anyone that has already completed a business plan or anyone who has started a business but needs some extra guidance.
What if you miss one of the weekly classes? If you miss a class, don't worry! Each class will be recorded. You will be able to watch the recording after each class at your own convenience.
What do I need for this class? You will need a pen and paper to write down notes. You can watch the classes on your computer or mobile device.
What happens after I sign up for the class? Once you pay for the class, you will receive an automated email confirmation. Your order will say “pending”. That’s just a status that my website provides. Don’t worry. I will mark your order as complete once the class is over.
When will I receive the Zoom link for the class: The Zoom information will be sent a week prior to the class start date. I will send the Zoom information to the email address provided during the checkout process.
